Yay for Music

Check this sheet out. Rarely get blown away by stuff these days being exposed 24/7 to music and its machinations but recently found a purple patch. Stand up guys one and all.

Black Eyes: They've done two albums, new one just out and it is the best thing I've heard for eons. Baddass dual drummer action with brass and as one website puts it caterwhauling vocals. I'm so drunk with them that I used a word I can't even spell/pronounce/understand. Now here's some depressing shit coz I could've seen them live last year but they split up, so please write to them to tell them to get back together and rule over all the insipid, tedious shit we are force fed. They are an excting band and when was the last time you could say that. Fuck Lightning Bolt. Fuck Locust. These guys have hooks. Its even kinda sexy, and nearly sexist. Dischord spread love!

Chinese Stars: Spot the pattern. Drums that jack your body sideways, frontways and up/downways but backed up with schizoid guitar/vocals. Ex-Arab on Radar/Six Finger Satellite members tear it up. More conventional but unlike the Black Eyes managed to catch them live thanks to good recommendation from a friend who couldn't make it. The crowd loved it which says a lot for band playing London venue shocker type thing.

Now I must rest ...
